Honest staging

Current Status

Now I See It is being built in phases, driven by the needs of educators and students around the world.

We will not over-claim. We want you to know what is really happening and what you can expect.

Status at a glance

This page is intentionally conservative — we'd rather under-claim and delight than over-claim and disappoint. Updated with each release.

  • Standalone PDP — sister product that installs separately, with multi-AI provider choice (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, plus bring-your-own-key)
  • AI connection visibility — every AI-using dialog shows live status, distinguishing user-network issues from provider issues from our own
  • In-app diagnostic intake — bundles only operational metadata (never your prompts, never your keys), includes a transparency note inside, saves a local audit copy
  • Attention-following layout in the Lesson Planner and Gemini Data dialogs — panel widths adapt to where you are in the workflow
  • Pilot enquiry form fully bilingual, with dual-path delivery (server submission, with mailto fallback if our server is offline)
  • Mirror Check — short, honest self-check for educator and home-educator/family PD posture (60 seconds, ungated, designed to give an honest read rather than a soft sales funnel)
  • Public feedback form on every page — tap "Send feedback" in any footer, opens in a separate resizable window so you can keep browsing while you write, posts to our support inbox with a structured heading for clean filing
  • I See It Now Polls family at iseeitnowpolls.org — six poll services (Launcher, Base Day 1, Force Field Analysis, Meeting Mode, Decision Lab, HQ Admin) now serve under their iseeitnowpolls.org names alongside their original URLs, with one shared brand voice across the whole family
  • Mobile menu refinements — the hamburger menu now respects viewport height correctly across browsers, sub-sections start cleanly collapsed when the menu opens, and tapping any item closes the whole menu so you return to the page in a tidy state
  • Privacy notice expanded with the platform-family framing — lists every domain in the Now I See It family with its role, names the shared privacy principles that apply across the whole ecosystem, and points to the canonical statement at nowiseeit.org/privacy
  • Multi-site contract support — for school trusts and chains, the platform now handles contracts that span more than one location. A prime administrator can name local deputy administrators at each site (free of charge unless they also teach), and teachers move between sites in the same contract without losing access — their AI key follows them rather than the location.
  • AI cost-transparency on every language switch — every place in the platform where you choose the AI's output language now carries a plain note that English is the cheapest language to run Gemini in, with non-English costing more of your free tier. Informational, not dissuasive — your native language is a first-class choice.
  • Renewal warnings in the License Information panel — your renewal date shows in amber three months out (school summer-holiday lead time) and in red one month out, so the conversation with your finance lead can happen before the date passes, not after.
  • Live email validation on the pilot and feedback forms — type an address that doesn't look right, you see a quiet red border immediately; submit it anyway and there's a clear popup with what to fix, rather than a generic error.
  • Activation licence-key validation — paste something that isn't a licence key (an email by mistake, half a key, leftover prose) and the field flags the issue immediately with the format spelled out. Replaces the older opaque server-side error.
  • Magnify-on-hover for small text — hint labels and secondary text in the Activation and Experiment dialogs grow when you hover over them, for users who need easier reading. Site_v2 scope markers also gained keyboard-focus support so the same magnification works without a mouse.

Beta testing in flight

We need more testers, please

  • Beta testing of new ideas continues alongside the shipped product — quiet, honest, by direct invite. We're not chasing volume; we're chasing the kind of feedback that genuinely shapes what comes next.
  • We're especially keen to hear from educators in low-connectivity contexts, multilingual settings, home-education families, and anyone whose situation isn't well-served by the existing platform yet.
  • If you'd like to take part, please write to gary@nowiseeit.org with a sentence or two about who you are and what you'd want to test. We'd be glad to hear from you.
Planned

What comes next

  • File-backed cloud resources (signed-URL hosting, beyond links)
  • Community resource submission workflow
  • More language packs on the JSON-driven foundation
  • Additional Subject Packs driven by educator requests
  • Mobile companion (read-only, after stabilisation)
  • Customer self-service portal — the user-side complement to the institutional admin tools
  • Cloud Polls & Decision Lab UI extended to all 19 languages (currently EN + BG; full multilingual ships after our trip to Africa, when the team has met educators in the longer-tail-language communities)
  • Scenario role-play simulator — a practice arena for educators (and managers, facilitators, anyone whose work is reading rooms before acting) to navigate real classroom and 1:1 situations safely; design now in progress with experienced game-maker Yavor as character-animation collaborator
Heads up — if you're waiting for an email from us

Check your spam folder first

Now I See It is a young sender domain. Until our reputation builds with the major mail providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, and the rest), our messages — including welcome emails carrying your licence key — sometimes land in spam, junk, or promotions folders rather than the inbox.

If you haven't seen an email from us about 15 minutes after you were expecting it:

  • Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder.
  • If you find our email there, marking it “Not spam” helps every future message from us reach your inbox.
  • Adding welcome@nowiseeit.org and support@nowiseeit.org to your contacts also helps your provider learn that we're the real us.
  • If after that you still don't see anything, write to support@nowiseeit.org from the same address you signed up with and we'll resend.

Sender reputation is something we build over time by sending clean, expected mail consistently. As more genuine welcome emails reach genuine inboxes, the spam-folder problem fades for everyone. Thank you for the small kindness of marking us “Not spam” while we earn that reputation.

The shipped app in detail

Everything listed below is in the desktop build today, used in real classrooms, and included in the licence you receive.

Data & visualisation

See patterns in live and synthetic data

Visualise multiple sensor channels on a responsive time-series view with time navigation, per-signal thresholds, and axis controls. Generate synthetic data via Gemini when you don't have physical sensors yet, import existing CSVs, and export anything you've visualised back out to CSV or to Excel.

Lesson planning & sharing

AI Lesson Planner + community hub

Generate full interdisciplinary / multidisciplinary / transdisciplinary lesson plans aligned to IB, Cambridge, UK, Finnish, Bulgarian, or NGSS frameworks. Save to library, share with other educators via the Community Hub using four-character share codes, or export as a .edulesson package.

Assessment

Generator to gap analysis, end to end

AI-generate differentiated assessments tied to competencies. Deliver them live over the Wi-Fi hotspot with students joining via QR code. Enter results, auto-mark MCQs, flag short-answers for review. Run gap analysis per student, class, and educator, with AI-assisted interpretation.

PDP — Personal Development Profile

A coaching companion, not a surveillance tool

PIN-gated, confidential reflection space where educators have coaching conversations with an AI on their own competencies, produce SMART / GAP-SWOT / Feedback sheets, journal entries, and optional AI summaries. Nothing leaves the device unless the educator chooses.

Resources Repository

Cloud-hosted, human-voiced, security-gated

Publish and find educational resources (YouTube, papers, documents, websites) tagged across ten taxonomies. Every resource carries the author's real story — the “surprisingly hard part”, the “moment of joy”, the single most important tip. Non-owner downloads are rate-limited for safety.

Accessibility

Four themes, by design not as an afterthought

Dark, Light, Dyslexia-Friendly (OpenDyslexic3, warm palette), and High Contrast themes. Configurable via My Account. All assessment and live-delivery pages carry the same theming through to the student browser view.

Decision Lab (desktop)

Quiet conversations at scale

Local survey-style scenario sessions. Students join via QR code over your laptop's Wi-Fi hotspot, answer anonymously, and the facilitator sees per-question bars plus an AI summary framed as a decision-making analyser rather than an HR report. Eight bundled scenario sets, EN + BG.

Cloud Polls & Decision Lab

Web-based engagement, no install required

A sibling to the desktop module, hosted in the cloud for classrooms, training days, and remote cohorts. Facilitators open a session from a browser; participants join from any device with a link or QR code, answer anonymously, and see collective results in real time.

Institutional licensing

Seats, grace periods, and admin

Institutions activate seats via Supabase-hosted licence keys, bound cryptographically to the educator's machine. Offline grace periods of up to 30 days. Per-institution seat usage and expiry visible to administrators, with a one-click renewal email template in the provisioner.

Reliability & transparency

When something goes wrong, you'll know exactly where it sits

Every AI-using surface in the app shows a live status pill that distinguishes a user-network problem from an AI-provider problem from one of ours. The “Send Diagnostic to Support” button bundles only operational metadata (never your prompts, never your keys), includes a plain-language transparency note inside the package inviting your inspection, and saves a local copy at Documents/Now I See It/diagnostic_bundles/ so you (or any auditor) can verify exactly what we received. The same dual-path discipline applies to the public pilot enquiry form — if our server is offline, your enquiry still reaches us by mailto.

Why the status page matters

Credibility

Truthful public wording

Now I See It is intended to grow in public without pretending all parts are complete at once. That honesty is a feature, not a weakness.

Practical use

Easy to update

As each stage lands, this page can be refreshed quickly without rewriting the whole site. That makes it useful as the system evolves.

Maintenance rhythm

  • We update this page whenever a new user-facing capability becomes genuinely usable.
  • We move items from "In production" to "Available now" only when they are stable enough to be demonstrated honestly.
  • We keep planned items high-level and accept ideas for future implementation when possible.
